American Legion Hall, Post #24, was the site of Gen Con IV through IX, 1971-1976. Gen Con would eventually outgrow Lake Geneva and is now the largest tabletop gaming convention in North America with attendance in excess of 85,000 attendees. TSR would sponser several smaller conventions such as Winter Festival, the Autumn and the Spring Revel. Following, Gary's memorial service in 2008, his widow Gail and friends and family organized an impromptu gathering of gamers joined together to play games in his memory. Dubbed, Gary Con 0, the convention would go on to grow over the next decade to thousands of attendees every year to gather in March to play games and memorialize the man who gave us Dungeons & Dragons and our love of games.
